Brave Browser Steps Up Its Privacy With Guardian Partnership

Brave partners with Guardian

Brave Browser has partnered with security firm Guardian in an attempt to bring greater levels of security to Brave users on the iPhone and iPad users.

The partnership will make use of the best of both the privacy stack of brave’s privacy focussed browser and Guardian’s VPN and firewall service, ensuring Brave as the best browser for privacy.

The move will allow Brave Browser’s iOS users the option of turning on Brave Firewall and VPN, ensuring the ultimate privacy for iOS devices while using Brave Browser.

Brave Focus Is On Privacy For Users

Speaking of the partnership Brave CEO Brendan Eich said he had used Guardian VPN and was aware of its superior privacy technology, which he wanted Brave users to be able to take advantage of increased privacy.

‘I’ve paid for their firewall already and I use it, said Eich. ‘But many users haven’t discovered it, with Brave we’re promoting it, making it easier, the switch is right there in the settings. So I think this is good for Guardian. It’s good for Brave users who haven’t acquired a VPN.’

The Firewall and VPN is built into the Brave iPhone and iPad browser app, and once users subscribe, there is a setting to enable the firewall in the app.

And the privacy settings won’t only be set while using Brave, but also in any other app they use on their iPhone or iPad, ensuring protection for users from data, location, and ultimately empowering users to take action at the network level over unwanted surveillance.

Any user wanting to purchase the VPN with the BAT token will be left disappointed, however, as Apple is against any form of cryptocurrency payment for any app on its App Store.

Brave Is Quickly Becoming The Best Browser For Privacy

Brave’s goal is to offer the ultimate privacy for Internet users, and its latest offerings make it the best browser for privacy. And we’re seeing the proof as more people flock to Brave to take advantage of its privacy.

‘Brave is on a mission to upgrade the Internet from surveillance-by-default to privacy-by-default,’ claims Eich. ‘With over 15 million monthly active users, our growth indicates that people are tired of being tracked, tagged, and monitored every second of every day.’

And Brave take their role in privacy seriously, as the best browser for privacy audited many privacy techs to offer its users even better privacy.

The Firewall and VPN is a crucial part of the Web experience that our users have wanted, and we’re thrilled to bring this capability to Brave.’
